Starting out as a small group of six former Technicolor top-level management staff, G2D now has 62 members consist of 52 full-time employees and 10 freelancers excluding the visual effects freelance team. The company has steadily grown combining individual talents with in-depth knowledge with superior equipment. Its Bangkok studio has been professionally tuned, designed and built by knowledge and skilled engineers, with a notable list of broadcast TV and film project credits. In fact, its founding members each hold their own expertise. Mr Puranasamriddhi who was previously the commercial director of Technicolor comments, “Once the project starts we are all involved from consultation to delivering the finished project.”
Joining Mr Puranasamriddhi and Ms Chompuming in forming G2D in 2014 to what it is now, are Mr Weston Thompson, Director of Digital Operation and Restoration, who has two decade-experience in film, video and digital post production; Chonlawit Sirikhunt, Technical Sales Support Director whose history goes back to the Cinecolor Lab and has been involved in every process of film-making; Mr. Nathaphon Wachiratrangsarit, Director of Digital Cinema, Film and Broadcasting – who supervises the day-to-day operations in DCP, Film and Broadcast and helps deliver clients’ quality projects; and Mr. Staporn Selawongsaree, Director of Theatrical Sound and Engineering. He is also a former Cinecolor Lab employee with strong background in engineering.
“We think every position plays a key role in a project’s success and everyone here needs to buy into that. We provide a service and we want our clients leaving our facility knowing that G2D has done everything in our power to help put their vision on the screen,” remarks Mr Puranasamriddhi.
